Greenville Drive Game

My students were in a reading competition where if they read a certain amount of books, and if they completed my requirement of doing a book report on the chapter book they were reading, they got a free ticket to a Greenville Drive game. Well, this really got them reading, and my class had the most completions in the school! Because of that, my family also got a free ticket to the game!

The kids got to walk out on the field and got a free tshirt, which they loved. It was just fun for me, as their teacher, to see them so excited; as well as, Tommy, Addie Kate, and I being able to enjoy the game together. (well, part of the game!)

Please excuse the look on Tommy's face - I know he didn't know I was taking the picture. Also please excuse Addie's too-short pants. We were just about out of options for layering/half-cold days!

Sharing some of her milk with me! She loves to do this to us and her babies - we making the "drinking" sound, that she has started to repeat - she is too funny!

They have a great little playground here, if you can stand all the other, bigger kids around!

The Pelham Road Elementary crew before they walked the field. You can't see, but the crowd goes way back. It's such a good group of kids, and I'm so thankful! I was also able to see some of my Charles Townes kids and fellow teachers/principals! It was so nice to catch up! I love it when I see a past parent and they give me a big hug like they have missed me or really appreciated me. That reminds me just why I do this every day!
