Children's Museum Playdate

Addie Kate and one of her best little girlfriends O.K. had a blast at the Children's Museum! We try to go a few times a year, and should go more as amazing and fun as this place is, but honestly, it takes the wind out of my sail! We were here for 3+ hours and by the end we were all ornery, tired, and grumpy! Ha! We got home around 3:00 and had to wake Addie Kate up at 6:00 from a nap! So, I'd say it was a success!

 AK and OK on the kaleidoscope climber. Neither of them were too adventurous and didn't go very far.

 Drew just chilled.

 Then AK and OK went for a spin... love the look on Addie's face!

 Did a little shopping. This used to be Addie's favorite part. I'm not sure what her favorite was this time. She seemed to love it all!

 Did a little doctoring on some animals:

 Played in the water:

 Banged around on some instruments and made a ton of noise!

 Played with some playdoh, which Addie adores:

 They drew on the plexiglass - they were supposed to draw each other's portraits, but they just enjoyed writing their names and drawing!

 Even the elevator was entertaining!

 The moving exhibit had one of the floor pianos like in Big. And the girls loved it!

 The round things were supposed to be percussion.

 My favorite part of the museum is Grandma Betty's Farm, and it's for toddlers. It's just a little quieter and calmer and oh so sweet!

 I love the giant Lite Brite. Of course when we told the girls it was a big Lite Brite, they looked at us like we were crazy!

 The girls also really enjoyed driving the trash/recycling truck:

 And Drew had woken up (we had eaten lunch and fed him, this was towards the end of the trip) and enjoyed talking to the little boys on his car seat cover:

 Love how they are standing up over the top of the truck. Makes me make a mental note to never allow AK to have a convertible.

 This was the blocks construction area, and it's cute, but the girls had started to get argumentative because they were both exhausted, so here we called it a day!

Absolutely love this place! Almost as much as my girl does! I can't wait for Drew to enjoy it with us!
