Sky Top 2012

Our annual tradition of picking apples in the pretty, fall, beauty of the NC mountains lives on. It's our fifth year and I hope we get to come for years more. It's such a sweet, simple thing to do together.

You never can predict the weather at Sky Top. We've been there in everything but snow.

Oh, my girl. I think you grow a foot a year. What will I do when you aren't in your apple-themed precious-ness?

This is as good as we could get of the two of them. And Drew wasn't having it without his sister.

 Clapping for himself! Sweet thing!
(Just go ahead and stand on your head to see this one. Grr.)
Both of my kids love these apple sippers. We get them every year. It's all Addie Kate talks about, while Mommy and Daddy talk about the apple doughnuts for the entire drive up there!

 My world.

We went towards Hendersonville for lunch, but found a new restaurant on the way, something called "Cooking with Wood" or fire or something. I'm pretty sure it's already out of business, which stinks, because we liked it. And dining in Flat Rock leaves much to be desired, especially since we always go on a Sunday. They had tractor seats bolted to barrels as chairs. My two, well Addie Kate, loved it!

Their food was great! And we loved the macaroni and cheese, even ordering another serving. I think that's all Drew ate!
