Addie Kate's End of Year Picnic

Addie Kate's end of the year picnic was precious. It was so fun sitting outside, watching her eat lunch with her sweet friends, talking to their parents and her teachers. I really enjoyed it, and it wasn't a production or anything. It's always the most simple things in life!

I asked her teachers the day before if they needed anything. You know, always nice to ask. Well apparently they put a note in her backpack, which I didn't check, that they'd love something sweet for everyone. So that morning when I dropped her off, they mentioned it. So, of course I said I'd get something, ugh, and Publix cookies it was (I got us Publix subs for lunch, yum!)! Yuck! Most of the kids didn't even like them. Why do they make that crap? If I'd had more time, I still wouldn't have made them, but I'd darn sure of gotten something better!

My girl and her best girlfriends. Makes my heart so happy! K, AK, B, and OK.

And, she's had enough! Ha!

Drew meets the Sanders family...

We went to Lexington when Drew was four weeks old for Sanders' birthday party. We  got to meet Benjamin for the first time - my cousin's son that had the same due date as Drew - and got to introduce Drew to the rest of the family. We had a great time with all these sweet babies and children around! And there was no shortage of arms to hold and rock babies!

 Aunt Ellen holding Benjamin
 Margaret holding Drew
Aunt Carol and Drew (as soon as I finished feeding him, Aunt Carol - Coco - just said "Give him to me." She was eating and everything, but I knew better than to argue!)
 Aunt Clyde and Drew
And we tried getting pictures of the two babies...

Margaret came to the rescue with the passys!
Birthday boy Sanders and his baby brother!

What a position!

I about died when I came back into the living room, after being gone for maybe 20 seconds, and he'd worked himself into this position, with the burp cloth (being used as a blanket -ha!) over his face! Ahhh!

Drew Weeks 3 & 4 Snapshots

I had a few complications with my wound healing, and it resulted in more pain and therefore me not being able to drive for a bit longer. My dad came up to help out for a few days - and mainly be my chauffeur! Drew and I both had to go to the doctor a bunch. I had to go every three days for my wound and Drew did for weight checks. Geez!

I love how he's looking up at my dad here!
Drew just hanging out in his bouncey seat - AK always close by!
Addie and Drew cuddling on her bed after bath time. She loves it when I put him on her bed - still!

He lost his umbilical cord at three weeks. It was hanging by a thread and grossing me out, then just finally fell off one day!
He started sleeping in his crib at three weeks. He loves it. I think he, unlike Addie, really likes his space. Addie liked to be close and comfy (hence her still sleeping in her Moses basket at almost six months!) and still does!
This picture was taken one day when he just played himself to sleep (I don't keep this toy in there.) while Mom and I sewed something. So sweet! Very little bothers this laid back child!
We went to church for the first time, at St. Peter's, when he was four weeks old. I was so proud to show him off! (Rough picture of me - the baby belly did not go away as quickly this time around, ugh!)
 My two babies:

And me, a little rough looking still, with my two sweet angels!
Just more of my sweet boy:
So tiny in this Moses basket!

Sweet Friends

Our friends Shannon and Will brought us dinner after Drew was born. We put on a movie for Addie Kate and Cody, and I couldn't resist these sweet pics. These two kids play SO well together. We have always joked that they are easier to take care of when they are together!

Drew on his due date

Not the best picture of him, but here's our little man on his acutal due date - May 11, 2011. Sure was nice to already have him here!

Happy Graduation Aunt Christie!

Christie graduated from Clemson almost two weeks after I'd had Drew. I didn't get to go to the graduation, but I came and met them for dinner and a little celebration afterwards.

Congratulations Aunt Christie! We are proud of you!

You can always tell how old the baby is by how tired the mommy looks. Geez.

Mmm, smores!

Nothing like a little sugar kick before bed for this three year old!
