Greek for the Night

Tommy and I love Greenville's Greek Festival. It is HUGE! The one in Columbia has always been fun, but this one lasts almost a whole week and is nonstop food and action. We took Addie Kate last year, but this year she had a lot more fun! She loved the food (although they were out of potatoes - my favorite part!) - as soon as I set the plate down on the table, she dove right in with her hands - ew! She also loved the dancers, and when they went off stage, she just hopped right up there and went to town! Tommy and I don't have a drop of Greek blood in us, but it sure was fun pretending we were for the night!

Here she is dancing after dinner, while waiting on Tommy in the long line for pastries and cookies. She hadn't even seen the dancers at this point, she just heard the music and decided to break it down - precious!
Sweetness: (And no, I did not put that bow on top of her head like Pebbles Flintstone!)

This little girl had this balloon animal that Addie Kate kept pointing to, and so her mother told her to let "the baby" hold it. Sure enough, it popped. I felt SO terrible! But, the girl and the mother just laughed it off!
Here they were just staring at each other - ha!
And here's my little pumpkin dancing the night away! (I really had to put my worries aside to let her do this. The place was crowded and the stage was full of kids, all bigger than her and wild as bucks, but she did just fine!)

I used the cooler weather as a chance to get Addie Kate in one of my favorite fall outfits on her that I'm afraid won't fit next year, and wouldn't you know it, we got compliment after compliment on it, and I'm sure gave Potato Saks a few new customers!

  1. Looks like fun! I love Greek food and I can't wait to eat feta cheese again. Looks like you have a dancing queen on your hands!
