Just as every Christmas since Addie has been with us, we have few pictures to document it. We have a nice long video that is too big to be posted to blogger, but few still pictures. I hate that, but I am glad that we live and enjoy the moment so much that we don't stop to take pictures. Christmas morning was a great time this year, as it was last. The years before Addie was just too young. Now she loves it! She's still not much of a morning person though, so it takes her a while to get good and warmed up!
Santa left her big present in the kitchen. Luckily, Mommy knew that, and had the camera ready!
A pink Barbie jeep! What girl wouldn't love that? Please excuse my still morning sick (at over halfway through my pregnancy) pre-breakfast of saltines.
Addie did love her jeep, until we told her she could ride it in the kitchen for just a bit (Love those tile floors- can't mess them up! Except for breaking an entire bottle of red wine the week after your husband laid the floor, and him having to pop up numerous of them and regrout. Except for that. But I digress) - and our little skinny minny didn't weigh enough to make it go, so it just sat there, making a terrible noise, with the wheels spinning, and she bolted. Wanted nothing else to do with it.
We did get a few pictures of her going through her stocking. And the disaster that was our living room after her go-through of Santa's gifts.
This beautiful Disney jewelry was one of the favorites!
Our happy little Christmas angel!
We then headed upstairs to open our gifts from each other. My girl loved that her presents were wrapped in pink paper.
My dad snapped a million pictures of her at their house on Christmas, and emailed me a handful. We didn't take our camera in to the other grandparents' houses, so I don't have any pictures from there.
ALL Addie asked for was princess Barbies (the Disney pricesses) - she had them all but Jasmine and Mulan. She didn't even know who Mulan was! My brother and sister in law came through on Jasmine, and Santa on Mulan (plus, to make the wish be fulfilled, she got a few that she already had just in different ways - like Belle and Ariel for the bathtub or pool, and Tinkerbelle and a friend, etc.). She was a happy camper!
And Christmas is no exception. She had to have a nap. I hate that she always has to nap at my parents since that just happens to be about the time we get over there, but it is what it is.
That night, we went to my aunt's house to celebrate Christmas with the Sanders side of the family. I had one tired little elf on my hands, but she had a great time, as usual.
And my cousin Alice and I had our "big reveal" of our babies genders! We are both having boys, and they are due on the same day! And, now that I'm almost four months behind posting this, I can say that we both have c-sections scheduled for the same day! What a special thing for these two cousins!
