Addie Kate's Birthday

Addie Kate's first birthday was October 22nd, 2008. It was a great day for all of us. After we all ate dinner together, we gave Addie her first birthday cake. (actually, it was half of a small cake - we took it easy, prepared for the worst...) She didn't like it one bit! She would get the icing on her fingers and just play with it. When Tommy put a piece in her mouth, that didn't even do it for her! She just didn't want any part! Tommy and I finally finished it off for her. She liked the candle, but wanted to touch it! We had to help her blow it out, even though she does know how to blow!

We gave Addie most of her birthday presents too. She barely helped open any of the gifts, but did enjoy most of them once we opened them for her! We are still waiting on her little toy table and chairs to arrive.

She's loving the little rag doll that I made her. I was inspired by a friend that I went to high school with that is making these and selling them for $40. Hers are much better than mine, but mine was made with love!
