Blogging hiatus...

is OVER.

I look at my sad little blog, where I've written my heart for the past five years, and I cannot believe I've let it go so long without writing. My heart is broken over the memories I have left. I do hope I remember it all. Praise God for my iPhone, which captures our everyday life better than anything.

I will blame this hiatus completely on the chaos of our life. I'll give a brief overview, then update month by month until I've caught up.  I finally feel like I've settled down, after a good two years.

When summer hit last year, we spent one week in DC and the rest in Greenville. We soaked up every bit of our hometown, did everything we loved, spent time with those we loved... the whole nine yards. We were so very sad to leave what had become home. Precious friends, places we loved, everything.

We moved over July fourth, and immediately started the house hunt. We did enjoy the July 4th celebrations on the lake and went to the beach right after that. The house hunt lasted five months. We are picky. This is our fourth house and we knew what we wanted. I am so very thankful that we found it and did not have to build. Beyond thankful.

Addie Kate started a new preschool for 4K and is doing well. She's our little social butterfly and after a brief shy period, she becomes the life of the party. She's still doing dance and gymnastics and when she concentrates, she does great at both! Drew stays with a friend of the family's, right over the hill from my parents. Mrs. Valerie has been wonderful and Drew loves it over there. My parents keep him on Fridays and I think all three of them love that.

Both kids have been healthy as horses and I thank God every single day for their health. 

My parents let us live with them for all those months. Fortunately, we haven't burned any bridges and they still love us.

 

We moved into our house over Thanksgiving. We spent Christmas at home for the first time ever. Here's to 2013 and being settled!
