The day after Thanksgiving my crew started wearing their Christmas clothes. I'm always ready for Christmas, and as much as I love Thanksgiving, I always wait anxiously for it to be over so we can get started on Christmas fun!
Mom and I didn't do our regular Black Friday shopping. I hated we missed it. There wasn't much that we needed, and we didn't have a sitter for the kids (I seriously forced Tommy to go hunting, we needed a deer!), so we just ventured out later in the day to Belk. And seriously, people would stop what they were doing and move out of the way, then comment at how cute my kids looked. I think that is a bit over the top. Seriously! I mean, I know I go overboard with making sure they are dressed to the nines, and I think they are the cutest kids in the world, but I never figured they'd "stop traffic!" Ha! (The picture above is of that day. Not the best of my precious ones!)
Ole Drewsie (as Tommy hates me calling him!) just hanging out in my dad's "Man Cave."
I picked up these precious owl hats for my two off of etsy. Then I started seeing all these teenagers in animal hats like this, and I immediately started disliking them! I hate fads! But they are still super cute, and Addie Kate actually asks to wear it, so I'm going with it. Half the battle there with that one! (And do we see a theme with AK's pj's 'and Drew's bib?)
A local church does a "Little Bethlehem" that I thought Addie Kate was finally of age and would enjoy. It was very interesting and she enjoyed it, but still a little over her head (even though she probably knows more accurate details of the Christmas story than many adults!). It was freezing cold though, and hard to keep up with AK, so this was the only picture we got!
