Daddy's birthday was celebrated at Shealy's... of all places. He and I went somewhere nicer just the two of us, but on his actual birthday, Shealy's was it. Which was fine... the kids like it and eat a good bit. Then one of them throws it all up later that night. This time it was Drew. Happy birthday!
I tried a few more Christmas pictures under the tree. I just knew my years of cute, children-looking, matching clothing was coming to an end.
The out-takes really are the best part!
We enjoyed many-a-pajama day of Christmas movie watching and junk food eating!
We made more gingerbread houses... This one of Addie Kate's favorite things to do over the holidays.
We grew candy canes from peppermints.
Baked only a few Christmas cookies because Addie Kate had already had a cookie-baking day with Aunt Carol and Mimi, and we had an abundance.
We went to a shower for Tommy's cousin. Below, the two flower girls.
Then hauled it up to Charlotte for Christmas with the Sweatman side of the family.
On Christmas Eve, we had the Schreiber side of the family to our house for celebrating. Drew, bless him, finally gave up the fight and just laid down in the middle of the floor.

I tried for a few more under the tree pictures... or maybe my Dad did. Regardless, these turned out well, and even funny for a few!
After the Schreiber family Christmas, we went to church. It was wonderful as ever and we were quite happy to be back at St. Peter's for the Christmas Eve service. It's absolutely beautiful.
We came home and had a small dinner, since we'd eaten everything under the sun for the past few meals. The kids then got to work making reindeer food. We wouldn't want them to go hungry or miss our house! (Note AK's get-up - Aunt Sharon made her this princess cape {per my request, as she is constantly dragging blankets around the house for this purpose}, and headband. And AK wore it nonstop for the next few days!)
I'm pretty sure the reindeer could have had more if they'd come inside and eaten it off my floor!
We picked out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer... just in case the reindeer food wasn't enough.

Daddy read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Then, the children were nestled all snug in their beds.... where Addie Kate couldn't sleep because she was so excited. While Mommy and Daddy put together toy after toy after toy.... until their eyes were crossed and they finally gave up!
