Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's On Its Way!

With it being such a long, cold, and dreadful winter this year, as soon as Valentine's Day was over, I was up in our decorating closet huffing and puffing, trying to get the spring and Easter decorations out. I knew AK would really be into it this year, and I was definitely right! I think I thought if I decorated all springy, then maybe it would get here quicker!

My mom has given me, and now Addie too, tons of precious Easter eggs over the years. I love to look back over them each year. They really are so pretty. My mom did really good and even wrote the dates she gave them to me on many of them! I have attempted to do this with all of Addie's. Hopefully I'll keep it up.

Many of my decorative Easter eggs are quite breakable, and Addie is usually really good about not touching things we tell her not to touch. I pulled out her beautiful, sweetgrass, Easter basket and put some plastic eggs in it. She's enjoyed playing with those, but does prefer the decorative ones!

I have two Easter trees, and still am able to fill a basket and another container full of them. (Has that stopped me or my mother from buying them? No!) I mean, there are only so many ways to display Easter eggs, but we try! Below are pictures of Addie decorating the tree we put in her room:

Yes, that is one of the big rubbermaid containers FULL of eggs!

Aren't they pretty? These are mostly my non-breakable ones, since this tree was going in her room.
LOVE these looks on my little Easter bunny's face!

Last year, the Easter bunny brought Addie two eggs with the most precious sayings on them. They are porcelain, so they didn't go on her tree! One said, "When I count my blessings, I count you twice," and the other said something else along those lines. Just perfect for my little angel.

And this is after a bath, and her face is still dirty! Geez Louise!
