ABC's

Every now and then, when Addie is playing with a toy that sings the ABC's, she will repeat some in the right order. The other night, she was in the floor of the kitchen, playing with the LeapFrog Phonics toy that is on the refrigerator, and was just singing away. Once I started to pay attention, I realized that she was singing most of the ABC's, in the correct places, and in the correct order! Whoa! The power of music - which makes me so happy! Below is the video I was able to get, but of course, it was on the tail end of her performance and she didn't sing much!

And FYI - that is Addie's Gammy talking to her in the background - they were up for a visit. And, when she says "yuck" at the end of the video, she had seen, and was picking up a crumb or something off of the floor. (Nice! At least she doesn't usually put things like that in her mouth anymore!)

Horsey

Here's my little angel, rocking and bouncing on her "horsey" all by herself. It just blows me away that she can climb up here and off of here, and knows to rock and bounce it, all by herself now. Not that I don't love every bit of her growing up, and she gets more fun every single day, but man do I wish I could stop it!

Guess Who...

POOPED on the POTTY?

That's right, our Addie pooped on the potty Monday night! It was more of a fluke thing than anything.

I was giving her a bath, and she "tooted," then looked at me and said, "poopy?" I asked her if she needed to poopy and she, of course, said, "no," because just about everything is "no" these days! Well, I could kind of tell that she was about to go - in the bathtub - so I just picked her up and put her on. She didn't like it at first (could also be that she was soaking wet from her bath and I didn't dry her off or warm her up or anything!), but then she just sat there and went!

Tommy was in the shower in our bathroom, so even though I screamed for him as loud as I could (which y'all know is pretty loud!), he still missed it, and I couldn't get a picture. (Tommy didn't think we needed a picture of such a thing anyway, but I think we need a picture of everything!)

So, who knows? Maybe this summer we will be ready!

Addie Kate - 2nd Baseball Game - March 2009

The Tigers played Michigan State at Fluor Field in Greenville the other week, and we went with some friends of ours. We did this last year too, with Uncle Paul and Rusty. Needless to say, this year's game was a lot calmer!

We sat right behind home plate, and the game didn't even start until 7. Addie goes to bed at 7:30! She did great anyway though, just was mostly clingy to Mommy. She did have her first taste of cotton candy (Thanks Kaylin for sharing!) and after she got over the feeling of it, really liked it!


Yes, she wore the same outfit to this game as she did last year (except last year she wore the top as a dress, and didn't wear the pants - look at her sweet little tootsies sticking out in that top picture - precious!). It still fit and I loved it, plus I doubt it'll fit for football season next year, so I figured I'd squeeze in one last wear!
Riding in on Daddy's shoulders - I cannot believe she's big enough to do this now! (We didn't bring in the stroller and quickly regretted that - at least I did since she was so clingy - as the line to get in was horendous!)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We Sweatmans love a holiday! We enjoyed St. Patrick's Day a little differently this year than in the past few years. Usually we go to one of Tommy's colleague's houses and he cooks up a fabulous corned beef and potatoes. This year though, Mr. Eagles was under the weather, so I cooked my first corned beef and potatoes, and it was great! Addie did NOT care for it though. She loves carrots, but doesn't really care for potatoes, so it didn't surprise me that she didn't eat the potatoes, but it did surprise me that she didn't eat the carrots! Oh well! She did have some of the corned beef though, surprisingly!

Footsie

Here is Addie playing "Footsie" with her Daddy! She just laid on the floor and started doing it! She loves anything having to do with her "tootsies" these days - shoes (always loved those - yay!), getting other people's feet, etc. She's a nut!

Aunt Sharon Fashion Show

This past weekend, it turned cold again, so I pulled out certain outfits for Addie to wear that I knew she wouldn't be able to wear again next year. These two were both made by my Aunt Sharon, who is a fabulous seamstress! Addie has been lucky to have several things made by her! Mommy is hoping that some of Aunt Sharon's and Mimi's sewing skills are being passed on to her!
