Thanksgiving 2011

I do love Thanksgiving! I love all of our families getting together. I love the parade. I love the food! 

This year Alice and I put our heads together for the kids to do a little craft. Addie Kate adores crafts! I had a few in mind that I hadn't gotten to do before Thanksgiving, so I just brought them with me. 

Addie Kate waited patiently and was so cute. I had to strip her down for fear of getting paint all over her clothes - which we still did. Oh well! It's all in the name of fun!

Aunt Sue took over baby holding duties. There were three baby boys there!

We just let Addie Kate paint while the other things were getting "set up." She loves to paint and I don't let her do it near enough!

Alice had them make handprint turkeys. Andrea started out with it and Lauren, our resident artist, got wind of it and came over to help. They turned out adorable. Then I brought some canvases for them to make fall handprint trees. (I should have taken a picture of it.) I love it. I just wish we had made a few others, because Aunt Lisa chirped up and said she wanted one!

Oh the outtakes it took to get a semi-decent picture of the ones of us that were there. I wish the whole family could have been there, but it's hard to do these days.

And we tried to get a better one of us.

We then went to Tommy's side of the family and tried to get a picture of all the grands. It didn't work out too well. Drew, who never fusses, was not  having it! It is a pretty cute one of AK and the others though! This was the only picture I got before my battery died!

Oh my word I do love this girl. How can someone that gives me such grief and heartache, still be the absolute light of my life? (And why does Blogger do this to my pictures? Talk about grief!)

Johnny Jump Up... or not

This thing is a dud. We had it for Addie Kate too. I think the children just don't sit well in it; maybe another brand would do better. We'll be borrowing one of the stationary bouncers for him, because the boy does enjoy it! He sure does look cute in it anyway though doesn't he?

And look what baby boy has finally learned to do? This is the first of November, and by Thanksgiving he was sitting up on his own!

Addie Kate learned this adorable song last year in sign language class. She "revealed" it to me in June- ha! I just love it and want to always remember her singing and signing it!
