January is always a "recovery" month. Full of cleaning up, cleaning out, throwing away, starting back to work and school, and being calm... or as calm as life allows. The only pictures taken in both of these months were on our phones. Which is pitiful. Regardless, here's our life in January of 2013...
Woke up on Jan. 1, 2013 with a bad habit still in progress!
I'm rarely in pictures with my little ones, so on this day, we took some ourselves.
My little red and the big bad wolf. Except sometimes, little red is really the wolf!
Addie Kate went to one of her closest friend's birthday parties.
Sweet church babies.
We tried out an older outfit. I was not a fan. And AK informed me that she took the vest off all day at school. Which made the outfit even cuter I'm sure.
We went right back to smocked the next day.
I was cleaning in the guest bedroom, and the kids came in, of course. Addie Kate wanted to see all the figurines that were on that antique shelf. Seeing as how she has never touched one a day in her life, I let her. Enter Drew. He sat down there with her for one second, decided it was boring, used the shelf to help himself up, and down the shelf and all the figurines came. Broke right on top of their heads. There was over 60 years of "stuff" on that shelf. Not any more!
Some more of my little loves -
Drew rarely played with these blocks without the bucket on his head.
Another bigger-girl outfit. And a balloon animal from school.
More of our Sunday best. (I was so sad to see them outgrow the cuteness.)
Followed by playing outside in said Sunday best.
A little lunch date at Mellow Mushroom:
The day after our lunch date at Mellow Mushroom, I registered Addie Kate for 5K at Pleasant Hill in the Spanish Immersion program. We had to wait for a month to find out if she got in. It took me less than one minute to register her, yet by the time I was done, I was shaking all over.
A typical drive to dance:
We went to help Margaret pick out bridesmaids dresses, but the little flower girl had to try on some as well!
More Sunday sillies....
literally this time.
Addie Kate sang the blessing at our Soup Supper at church.
We had the mildest winter ever. We enjoyed playing in the yard without bugs or heat!
A quick text picture from Valeri, of all the kids, still in their pj's, eating "popples." And I love it.
Another precious month. Full of love.
