Happy Easter!
We went to the sunrise service at St. Peter's. It was super cold out, so Addie and I went inside while the rest of the church (except for other parents with small children and a few other people) processed in from outside. Addie did great again, falling asleep about halfway through the service. That was a good thing because when she woke up we were at breakfast where she needed to be sweet and visit everyone. Here are some pictures of us at church:
Then, after that, we went to Tommy's dad's house and visited with them for Easter. Yes, the Easter bunny made an appearance there too. Addie got a sweet little bunny that she loves (the Easter bunny had gone to Build-A-Bear!). She tries to eat his ears, but the fur tastes funny. Here are some pics of her over there:
This fur tastes funny Gam. Fix it!
Our last visit of the day was to my Aunt Clyde's where we had an early dinner and the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Whew, Addie was a blast there. She was in her stroller asleep most of the time! She did somehow manage to come in 2nd in the Easter Egg Hunt. (Easy to do with 4 adults picking up for you!) Here are a few pictures of her over there (notice outfit number two!) .
Yep, she was quite the egg-hunter!
Addie Kate and Cousin Alice (and baby Sanders... not born yet, but he's there!)
Finally, we were able to give Addie her Easter basket from Tommy and me, and my parents. Below are pictures of her with those Easter gifts. My parents got her her Easter basket - a beautiful sweetgrass basket from Charleston that her cousin Meredith, aka Aunty M, picked up for her. I know it's a basket she'll always use and enjoy, which is what I wanted. They also got her 2 pretty Easter eggs and some animals to go with her Noah's Ark set. Mommy and Daddy got her a Johnny Jump Up (I love those things!), a toy for her stroller, an Easter egg, and a few books. Really, her favorite thing was the basket, as you can see. Can't wait to see what she does with a box in the future!
Look Mom, my foot fits in it!
Sweet Taters
Here's a video of her eating the taters - notice Tommy fussing at me for taking the pictures - she wasn't paying him enough attention at first! We're going to have to work on her eating so fast, but if we don't shove it in her, she screams!
A few days later we found out how much she loves prunes too. I, on the other hand, almost gag at the smell while just feeding them to her! Ugh! I'm afraid these may be a staple in her diet though, due to some continued unfortunate constipation.
Our latest solid to introduce is peas - talk about gagging... I guess Addie has been enjoying her sweets a little too much, and the bland peas just didn't do it for her. She made the funniest faces, then looked at me like "What the heck are you laughing at, this stuff tastes like crap!" All of that was followed by her gagging, which truly sounded like an adult heaving (gross, I know). It was too funny. She's recently learned that she doesn't have a choice though, and has been eating her peas happily!

Big Weekend!
Addie Kate has really been enjoying her feet this week. Here are some pics and a video!
Tommy's aunt Carol and cousin Courtney came to visit on Thursday. Courtney was trying to decide if she really wants to major in education or not, so she came and observed me for a day. I hope I didn't deter any thoughts! Here are some pics of Addie with Court.
Tommy was supposed to go to Lexington to put carpet in his friend Kyle's new pediatric practice, and my mom was going to come up and spend the weekend with Addie and me. Tommy ended up staying in Greenville because the carpet didn't come in, but Mom came up anyway. We had a great time - shopped like crazy and went to a baby shower for our friend Shannon. Addie was an angel all weekend. She looked beautiful in this dress, from her Aunt Laurie, Uncle E, and Aiden. Here's a pic...
Tommy's mother and Chuck also came up for a little while on Saturday. Here are some pics of her playing with them. She had a blast! Her Maw Maw had given her the little tiger on the table. It blows bubbles and is too cute!
And on Sunday, we went to Clemson to celebrate Paul's birthday, and to see the Clemson/VA Tech basketball game. This was Addie Kate's first trip to Tiger Town, and she loved it as much as her mom and dad do! She was wonderful during the game, and of course, the cutest girl there! Here are some pictures of her trip:
Whew, it was a busy weekend but so much fun! We are so very, very lucky to have such an amazing life! Love to all of you!
One last pic - she loves this ball!
